Hobbes' Floppy Drive

This is the view of the floppy drive from Hobbes, the first computer I ever built. On Saturday I disassembled Hobbes and took the bulk of his parts to the recycling center, saying farewell. Hobbes began life as my primary desktop just prior to college, a PIII 500Mhz beast, then became my trusty Linux server for many years after being replaced on the desktop. I have no photos of him at birth since I did not yet own a digital camera, but there is a set of random shots up on hPhoto from various points in his life. Au revoir!
