Armageddon Brewing

I shot this out my driver's side window as I was waiting at the Northside and 14th Street light. The next step was heading to GTRI to take the lightning photo I posted a few days ago.

I like this one way better than the lightning photo. This one is artwork.
Really, Matt? I disagree entirely :) I mean, this one is definitely nice, but getting a good lightning photo is so hard!

Well I certainly think the lightning photo is a feat of photography for sure. I meant no offense. This one just has a lot more value to me. What is going on in this photo? Is there a reason the foreground is so dark? I find my eyes wandering in this photo. Good job on both, Ethan.

I made no alterations to this photo whatsoever - it's a pure RAW to JPEG conversion, straight from the camera. The foreground is dark because there were dense storm clouds overhead, and the object of my photo was the one place where the sunset shown through the clouds. It's an eerie situation that I love to see in real life, so I was happy that it came through in the photo.
