Shooting Macros

  • October 4, 2006
This was actually taken by Jamie while I was shooting the macros that I recently featured here. I'm using two flashes: Ariel's as the master connected with a hot shoe extension cable and mine as an IR-controlled slave. The lens combination consists of three macro extension tubes, a Canon 100mm macro, an inversion ring, and an inverted Canon 50mm lens. I'm also using my remote shutter release since the goal was to have as many gadgets attached to the camera as possible. On the table is a lens cap acting as a backdrop for a bit of sugar. This was a fun rig to play with.

Oh, and I'm now older than you all. Booya.
